The first payment of the CAIP program was issued in July 2022. Now the second instalment of the quarterly payment begins in October 2022.

A family of four will receive an average of $186.25 in Ontario, $269.75 in Alberta, $208 in Manitoba, and $275.35 in Saskatchewan on October 14th.

Moreover, rural and small communities will also receive an extra 10%.

On the day one of the payment month and the last day of the previous month:

  • You must be a resident of Manitoba, Ontario, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. 
  • Meanwhile, in the same time frame, you must also follow at least one of these conditions:
  • Must be at least 19 years old
  • Have a spouse or common-law partner
  • Be a parent who currently resides with or has previously resided with your child.
