What exactly happened in the US?

According to a news release, the Brie and Camembert cheeses that were made by Old Europe Cheese were sold nationwide in the US and Mexico. But recently, the sold-out cheeses were recalled because they have been linked to six bacterial infection cases from 2017 to 2022. What type of bacterial infection did Old Europe Cheese find?

Old Europe cheese were investigated and revealed that the bacterial infection called listeria are affected in it. This causes listeriosis  which can result in severe illness. The bacteria affect newborns, aged people, and pregnant women. The symptoms of this bacterial infection may appear two months after consuming something with listeria.   3. Fever
  4. Muscle pains

Listeria Outbreak Cheese Recall:

On Friday, 30th September 2022, Old Europe Cheese issued a recall for the Brie and Camembert cheeses. The products that sold from 1st August to 28th September were the recalled items. After a complete environmental audit of 120 samples, Old Europe Cheese found that one of the samples had traces of listeria.
